Every year, Evelyn’s Park chooses a select group of talented, hardworking teens to help represent the park at community events with pride and enthusiasm. Volunteering offers the opportunity to yes, earn those valuable community service hours, but even better, to learn new skills away from a desk and out in the sunshine, while meeting new people and giving back to the community.
We’ve heard repeatedly that the friends our Ambassadors make and the pride they discover are reason enough to re-apply every year—which is why this year, we’re also including Senior Ambassadors in our group (high-school students with at least one year of prior experience, who are willing to commit to at least 20 hours of service).
All teenagers Grade 6 through 12 are eligible to become a Teen Ambassador. Applications are not limited to Bellaire residents. As an Ambassador you will be involved in promoting the park to family, friends and the community throughout the year, as well as with assisting at events, staffing tables, acting as greeters, prepping for upcoming functions, and more, depending on the season. All EPC Teen Ambassadors will receive a certificate of completion, community-service hours, and an EPC tee shirt.
Apply online during the application period, July 10–August 25, 2017.
