We are so excited for you to join us for Picnic In The Park on Saturday, April 26th from 12 PM - 4 PM to celebrate Earth Day and Evelyn’s Park's 8th Year Anniversary.
There will be a free 5,000 seedling giveaway donated by Trees For Houston. Varieties include American Beautyberry, Elderberry, Mexican plum, Shoals Creek Vitex ST, and Turk's Cap. CenterPoint Energy foresters will be on hand to let you know where to safely plant them at your home.
Evelyn’s Park Conservancy will be hosting a community rock painting project. Finished rocks will be included in a temporary art installation by Betsy’s at Evelyn’s Park.
The City of Bellaire Environmental Sustainability Board will be hosting its famous Crush the Can and will provide everyone with recycling education.
The Overcommitments band will play live, along with free face painting, Danz Jamz with Brandon at 1 PM (located at the Gillman Subaru Southwest Entertainment Zone), scavenger hunts (located at our Alice and Wonderland 'Move One Place On’ Sculpture), Chalk artists, free tye dye t-shirts *while supplies last”, ICam Photo Booth, Los Tios Pop-Up, and our 8th Year Birthday Cake cutting at 3 PM.
